How can we communicate with Theo?

Long time reader, first time poster.

It seems to me that there is a lot of noise going on in this community of Agonothetai, but very little clarity. I’ve been putting the pieces together, and the most important step to finding out the truth seems rather plain.

Despite the momentary contact members had with him a couple weeks ago, we have heard almost nothing from Eli Hunt in some time. He is the one and only informed person we’ve been dealing with so far, and he’s not helping.

If we look at those recent emails people received, however, we can see that there are others who appear to be even more informed than him: “Theo”.

Eli’s haiku to krystyn is particularly revealing of what he knows:

“AWOL is safer.
They must not see me coming.
Theo won't win again.”

He clearly refers to “they”, indicating that we are talking about a group. This is then followed up by the claim they won’t win “again”. It seems that our “friend” Eli has come up against this group “Theo” before, and has lost before.

But beyond this, it appears that his knowledge is very limited. To Weezel, he wrote:

“I fear that there are counter-agonothetai working as actively as we
are to prevent synchronization of the multiverse. But why? And how? Who are they, and where do they come from? How long have they been working on their counter-mission?

As strange as this may sound, I believe that to defeat them, we may need to work with them. Know thy enemy. I am hoping to learn the counter-agonothetai are, and how they might have been able to persuade agonothetai to join forces with them on their counter-mission...

If you were skeptical of the allies' missions to synchronize the multiverse, how would you attack it? What hard questions would you ask? What assumptions could be faulted in our desire to find the lost ring and restore the multiverse olympiad?”

It seems that amaretto01 provided one such option, as seen by his reply to her:

“While I still believe that a new Pangaea would wreak global devastation, purely as a inevitable consequence of geographic upheaval, I can imagine that geoglobal politics would be transformed as well. Perhaps for the better, at least for those who survived.

Thank you for raising an interesting possibility. In fact, now as I ponder it, I wonder if perhaps you have shown me a truth I have been looking for. A motivation I had missed. Well. I am most grateful to you.”

Apologies for repeating all this stuff, which has been posted before, but I feel it is necessary to revisit it. Let’s face it, the six amnesiacs have no idea why they’re really here. They think it’s to recover the codex and do good, but really they could have had their memories wiped and been sent to destroy this world. I’m not suggesting this is the case, simply that they cannot truly know themselves.

The one person who appears to know anything is going in search of a group of others who know more than he does. A group who seem bent on stopping this process of recovering the codex and reviving the Lost Sport, and have “won” in this effort before. Reading Eli Hunt’s response to armaretto above, I can’t help but think he too may be in the midst of reconsidering his position.

Like Eli, we too must go in search of the one group who can shed light on this process we have been roped into, the group who have stopped it happening in the past. We must seek out Theo. Mr Hunt went to South America to this end, where must we go? Personally, I don't think the current fad of suspecting those we already know will help us in the end, but will keep us from being productive for a while.

What do others think? How can we find those with the knowledge?

If Theo or TheO had anything earth shaking to say, he or they would have said it by now, I think.

Re: How can we communicate with Theo?
Remember when Eli said something about helping or believing someone he thought was an agonothetai? That's why he won't help us. Maybe it was Theo that tricked him to figure out how much he knows.

Re: How can we communicate with Theo?
I have a thought. Perhaps Theo is indeed once an athlete some time ago with the previous six athletes...but what if this Theo isn't who we thought it was. What if...we knew about him already, just that he was hiding in plain sights like how we are doing with the human labyrinth training? I mean think about this. Remember all the most vile dictators, warlords, emperors, etc. and try to connect one of those men with Theo. I mean for all we know, he may be a different Hitler, or a different Caligula, Nero, Napoleon, Caesar, a parallel warlord of our world. One of these men must be Theo. If we can connect such parallel person to Theo to his EXACT attributes and persona, then perhaps we might find Theo more easily and then soon contact him.

Re: How can we communicate with Theo?
Am I correct in saying that you want to connect this Theo to historical figures? You are saying that if they have the same treats they might be a parallel "version" of those persons? Okay, interesting... But how would that make it easier for us to contact him, if he is parallel to, for instance, Nero?

Forgive me if I'm asking stupid questions, I have very little time so I'm having a hard time catching up.

Re: How can we communicate with Theo?
Well we finally have our answer now. I went on the Wiki and somebody found a hidden Bacon code on the map that said this:

"JOIN US AND JOIN MARKUS WE ARE THE UNINITIATED WE WELCOME NEOPANGAEA HELP US DESYNCRHONIZE WE SACRIFICE ON AUGUST WRITE MEMBERSOFTHEOATGMAIL"

The question is: What do we do now?

Note: Can someone else put up the email of Theo? I can't seem to do it for some odd reason.

Re: How can we communicate with Theo?

That last bit. Could that be membersoftheoat@gmail.com?

I think we should try and mail them, and pretend to want to join them to find out more info. What do you guys think about that?

Re: How can we communicate with Theo?
Interesting idea... if you were going to do that though, you probably wouldn't want to post about it on these forums, as TheO are no doubt monitoring them!

Unfortunately, I fear that there are those among us who really are going to offer their help to the group... soon we may not know who to trust even amongst ourselves. I hope it doesn't come to that though.

August is the time we should do the labyrinth dance. simply not dancing (?) won't desynchronize the worlds. so what is the "sacrifice"?

Re: How can we communicate with Theo?

that's members of theo @ gmail.com = membersoftheo@gmail.com

I wouldn't write to them if I were you! They're the enemy, we're trying to help Ariadne!!

But, like Mr J said, undoubtably some of you will chose to help those who are trying to hurt/stop our friends and their mission, and there is little we can do to disuade them.

If you want to know how those who are trying to stop them are communicating, you need to look no further than the source code of Markus' blog post for the hidden message - hidden using a Bacon cipher. I say this only because it's important for those ofus who want to help Ariadne, we need to be aware of our enemy.. and knowing how they are passing messages will undoubtably be a useful thing.

In fact, as I look closer at this very thread, I see that it is not all that it appears. Sektano seems to have used a similar method in his post above! Surely this cannot be an accident.

Re: How can we communicate with Theo?
Alright this is becoming a little deep now. I'm sure I am not the only one thinking of this, but why are we wasting so much time on Theo when we should be on a mission to find the remaining artifacts, which is like three more left. Not sure if there is none appearing but still, doesn't mean we keep trying on finding one. But I think this is what Theo wants now: to devert our attention on him so that he can 1) recruit us, or 2) give himself all the time to find the artifacts for himself. This is becoming dangerous now, and I do not like the idea of emailing him. He is expecting us to do so and thus lure us into his influence if we are not strong enough. And even if we are, we don't do it, he may punish us for it. I say we find the remaining artifacts, then concentrate on Theo. And I love to hear if anybody agrees or disagrees with me on this. Because now I see a little distrust on this forum and that is scaring me.

Re: How can we communicate with Theo?

I agree on the point that he is definitely reaching out. Some people might turn, but I don't think too many would do that. I agree, finding the artifacts is important. But we are a community, we can divide attention. I for one would like to investigate this, as I think it is important. Yes, he is reaching out. But he also might be getting cocky, and that's good for us. Someone who starts to get cocky starts to make mistakes...

Am I alone on this?
