Re: Making a cheat sheet
Speaking seriously, look like to me the least relevant codex of all!
The only thing that we extract is that there is the first world
I do not believe that it serves it us of much...
Until theo has something that to see with that

Unfortunately, I did the layout in Indesign CS3, so the number of people who can work with the source is going to be limited. However, you should be able to copy the text out of the PDF (I didn't restrict it).

Or if one of you wants to write the copy for another handout, one about best practices, one about laying out the labyrinth, one about training or running, or whatever else you want, I can certainly take that text copy and lay it out a little fancier.
It looks like you did a fine job of explaining the how-tos of participating. I can't see that you missed anything, or that it would be hard to understand what the wall is expected to do. As to the other material, my only concern is gathering all the info needed to write the copies. It might be helpful to post links to pages, videos, etc., here in the forums so that people don't have to go crazy searching. This is assuming, of course, that some people who may want to write don't always have the time to search for everything they need.

Re: Making a cheat sheet
The rules summary is great. Now we just need a pretty design.

Any luck creating a cheat sheet we could all download and hand out at labyrinth events?

I know Kai is hoping to have one for this Sunday's event in San Francisco!

Post a link if you have one.

I think she means we have to make a bit more nice to look at. Like make it seem old, and more Greek. I guess. I'll try something out and post it here. I'll copy your text if you don't mind.

Re: Making a cheat sheet
Hey guys,

I made a quick image that shows what I think Ariadne means with nice design. I don't have much time, so I made it quickly, mercilessly stealing Weezel's text from his PDF ;).

http://snurl.com/24ltu

There is lots of space for improvement. I work in Adobe Photoshop CS3, and I have the PSD file for download right here:

http://snurl.com/24lu0 (It was HUGE, so I had to RAR it down. Sorry.)

So what do you think? Besides the fact that it's still ugly, of course :). Personally, I think it's a lot of text. We could split this up into two pages.

Re: Making a cheat sheet

Thanks for the work Vel, but I disagree in the interpretation of what she wants. If this is supposed to be a sheet to be used and handed out at labyrinth practices, why would it need to look older and greek? This is a modern document, not something trying to repro. something from the past.

This is especially true if folks are going to be printing it out for others to read. It likely won't be in color, if they are doing photocopies or laser prints. If it is in color, it should be accented easy to read. The brown background makes it difficult to do that IMO.

You did a great job in making it look old, I just disagree that its needed. I guess we'll have to see if Ariadne responds either way. If that is what she wants, I can send you the original InDesign file or a much higher quality PDF for you to work with.

Re: Making a cheat sheet
I have to admit, I forgot that it had to be printed out... Well, let's just wait to hear which is preferred ...

Re: Making a cheat sheet

Junesan has provided me with translations for the cheat sheet for Esperanto and German. I have created those versions on put them up on my website @ Weezel's FTLR Resources

As I get additional translations (I want to avoid robotranslated versions if possible), I will put them up there as well and notify folks.
